NX Bridge spanning the Passaic River between Newark and Kearny, NJ




NX Bridge as seen from the Clay Street Bridge

The bridge has not been in use since 1977. It has been abandoned in its upright position. The tracks on the Newark side of the river are still an active freight line. The bridge is also known as the "Annie Bridge" since portions of the movie Annie were filmed near the bridge in 1982.

Fairfield Dutch Reformed Church, Fairfield, NJ

This brownstone meeting house built in 1804 by the resident Dutch population is an example of early 19th century Georgian architecutre. This church was the first parish in western Essex County (the parish dates to 1720). Serving as a social, cultural and educational hub, the church has historical prominence and was registered as both a state and national historic site.

Two Bridges are two bridges at the confluence of the Pompton and Passaic Rivers connecting Wayne, Lincoln Park and Fairfield which are in Passaic, Morris and Essex counties, respectively.

Verona Park in Verona, NJ is a beautiful park complete with recreational facilities and most importantly, Verona Lake, formed by damming the Peckman River. The resulting Verona Lake is the centerpiece of the park.
